Under the leadership of Dr. Diane Langberg, our psychologists and licensed counselors have been offering high-quality care for individuals and families since 1993. Dr. Phil Monroe joined the practice in 2000. Together, they collaborated to build the Global Trauma Recovery Institute.
Our trauma-informed staff ground their work with best practices and a mature Christian faith. Whether you identify with a faith or not, we will provide space for you to find hope and healing.

Dr. Diane Langberg is globally recognized for her 47 years of clinical work with trauma victims. She has trained caregivers on six continents in responding to trauma and to the abuse of power. From 1993 to 2022. She directed her own counseling practice in Jenkintown, PA, Diane Langberg, Ph.D. & Associates, which included sixteen therapists with multiple specialties. Dr. Langberg’s newest book is Redeeming Power: Understanding Authority and Abuse in the Church. Other books include Counseling Survivors of Sexual Abuse, On the Threshold of Hope (with accompanying workbook), In Our Lives First: Meditations for Counselors and Suffering and the Heart of God: How Trauma Destroys and Christ Restores. Dr. Langberg is co-leader of the Global Trauma Recovery Institute housed at Missio Seminary. She served on the board of G.R.A.C.E. (Godly Response to Abuse in a Christian Environment). She serves as Co-Chair for American Bible Society’s Trauma Advisory Council. Dr. Langberg is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Achievements from Taylor University., the American Association of Christian Counselors Caregiver Award, The Distinguished President’s award, and the Philadelphia Council of Clergy’s Christian Service Award. She is married and has two sons and four grandchildren.
Dr. Philip Monroe leads Langberg, Monroe & Associates and is a psychologist with more than three decades of clinical experience. He is a graduate of both Westminster Seminary and Wheaton College Graduate School. After 18 years directing the Graduate School of Counseling at Missio Seminary, he returned to full-time clinical practice. In 2013, Dr. Monroe and Dr. Langberg launched Global Trauma Recovery Institute to train counselors and humanitarians to better understand how to support trauma recovery efforts around the world. In addition, he provides ongoing direction to the Trauma Healing Institute at American Bible Society where materials and mentoring are created to support a global community of practice numbering over 20,000 facilitators. He has trained facilitators in Europe, the Middle East, Sub-saharan Africa, and the United States. His areas of specialty include sexual addictions, anxiety, marital distress, and trauma recovery.
